Dark Horse Bouldering Series

The Dark Horse Bouldering Series kicks off it’s 15th Season here at MetroRock Littleton! Registration is now OPEN for Open, Young Guns, and Citizens rounds.

We’ve got some exciting changes to the Citizens Rounds this year- we now offer Male, Female, and Non-Binary categories! In addition, we will now be using the Scramble Format for all Citizens Rounds!

Here’s how Scramble Format works:

  • Up to 50 boulders to choose from

  • Scores will be determined by the total amount of boulders you complete during the session

  • Ties will be broken based on Tops, Zones, Attempts to Top, Attempts to Zone

  • Competition will be peer judged with two signatures required for either a zone or a top

Saturday, November 16th

MetroRock Rodeo @ Everett

3:30 PM - 6:30 PM

The Rock Rodeo Series is a biweekly* open level weekend comp series at Metrorock Everett designed for open level competitors or those looking to break into the open level. The series will provide competitors with the rare opportunity to climb in the onsight 4 on 4 off format** that most open level competitions take place in. The round will be on Saturday at 3:30 pm, running until everyone has competed. Competitors will then be allowed to return to the boulders they tried and have a working session on them with the other athletes. An exceedingly rare and valuable opportunity.

Following this working session, the boulders will be changed to better accommodate the majority of our team participants. Meaning the opportunity to climb on these open level boulders will be limited to the competition.

* Scheduling conflicts with pre-existing competitions/events may alter the regular schedule

** Some weeks may feature red point, or rotation formats"
