    • All visitors MUST check in at the front desk.

    • All visitors must sign a Participant Agreement, Assumption of Risk and Responsibility, and Release of Liability.

    • Parents and guardians are responsible for the behavior of their children, including compliance with all rules and policies, while at MetroRock.

    • Parents must always be present in the facility unless all participants are 14 years old or older.

    • MetroRock is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen property of visitors while in or on the premises, parking lots, other areas within the vicinity of MetroRock, or at any outdoor facilities or venues.

    • No smoking, drugs, or alcohol are permitted at any time in MetroRock, or at MetroRock events.

    • Auto Belays are to be used ONLY AFTER MetroRock Staff instruction.

    • All sales are final for goods and services. Exceptions are outlined in our refund policy. Absolutely no refunds or exchanges for climbing equipment.

    • MetroRock staff have the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to determine unsafe and inappropriate behavior and to revoke climbing privileges, either temporarily or permanently, for such behavior.

    • Boulderers may only “topout” on bouldering structures and climb where designated by MetroRock staff.

    • Climbing instruction is to be provided by qualified MetroRock staff only.

    • All belayers and toprope climbers must pass a belay test administered by MetroRock staff. Teaching, practicing, and refreshing of skills is not allowed.

    • All climbers and belayers must perform a safety check before any rope climb.

    • Climbers must tie in using the rewoven figure eight knot.

    • Belayers must belay from their UIAA-approveed harness using a belay loop and not from a fixed anchor point.

    • Allowable belay devices include tube style devices (ATC, Verso, etc.) and assisted braking devices (Gri-Gri, Vergo, etc.)

    • No sitting or lying down while belaying.

    • No one under the age of 14 is permitted to belay unless permission is granted by MetroRock management.

    • All lead climbers and belayers of lead climbers must pass a lead test administered and evaluated by MetroRock staff.

    • Lead climbers must provide their own UIAA-approved rope (minimum 9.5 mm) in good, working condition.

    • Under no circumstances shall lead climbers skip a quickdraw in an attempt to “run it out” to the next quickdraw.

    • In order to provide a visual verification, all roped climbers and belayers must display their belay cards while climbing.

  • ALL children under the age of 14 must be supervised according to the ratios listed below. Failure to meet this ratio may result non-admittance to the facility.

    Ages 7 & Under: 1 supervisor per every 2 children. The supervisor must be able to provide active direct supervision and remain within arms reach.

    • Children must be supervised at all times.

    • The supervisor must be at least 18 years old and cannot climb!

    • Children need to be within arms reach at all times. *Note: While the child is actively climbing on the wall, supervisors should remain nearby but not in the child’s fall zone

    • It is forbidden to run or play in the climbing areas.

    • Children under the age of 14 are not permitted to use fitness equipment.

    Ages 8 - 11: 1 supervisor per every 3 children. The supervisor must be able to provide active and direct supervision and remain within speaking range.

    • Children must be supervised at all times.

    • The supervisor must be at least 18 years old

    • Children need to be within speaking range at all times.

    • It is forbidden to run or play in the climbing areas.

    • Children under the age of 14 are not permitted to use fitness equipment.

    Ages 12 - 13: 1 supervisor per every 3 children. The supervisor must be able to provide active and direct supervision and remain within eyesight.

    • Children must be supervised at all times.

    • The supervisor must be at least 18 years old

    • Children need to be within eyesight at all times.

    • It is forbidden to run or play in the climbing areas.

    • Children under the age of 14 are not permitted to use fitness equipment.

  • Our facility has 2 separate bouldering areas: The Main Gym & The Expansion.

    All Day Pass Guests must adhere to the following rules while using the Main Gym Bouldering Area:

    • Climbers under the age of 10 must be directly supervised in a 1:1 ratio by an adult that is not climbing

    • Supervisors must be within arms reach of their child while standing on any padded area. Note: While the child is actively climbing on the wall, supervisors should remain nearby but not in the child’s fall zone

    • If a child and their supervisor must be spoken to about failure to follow any of our safety policies, they will be unable to continue climbing in the Main Bouldering Area

    • If a child and their supervisor must be spoken to a second time about failure to follow any of our safety policies, the child and supervisor will be asked to leave the facility for the day.
