MetroRock Littleton is currently hiring a Front Desk Associate to be a part of the team! Desk Associates will work with Shift Supervisors and the Management team to help run the day to day operations of the facility. Front Desk Associates are the first point of contact for customers and considered the faces of MetroRock. 

 

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Model MetroRock values through professional interactions with staff, members and guests.

  • Foster a welcoming, positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for customers and staff.

  • Facilitate programs, classes, events, and other scheduled activities according to established training, standards, and procedures.

  • Ensure that gym operations run smoothly by completing assigned opening, closing, front desk, floor, and operational tasks accurately and on time.

  • Maintain a safe environment by understanding, following, and enforcing all gym policies and risk management practices.

  • Provide accurate, up-to-date information about memberships, programs, events, retail products, and facilities offerings.

  • Complete regular maintenance and inspection of the facility and climbing equipment as directed.

  • Demonstrate initiative to identifying and completing projects and side tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Work effectively in an occasionally fast-paced, physically active environment while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.

  • Be available to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and occasional shifts for events, competitions and other operational needs. 

 

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Be familiar with with the climbing community and its culture

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Be comfortable working in a fast paced, physically active workspace.

  • Be available to work weekend, evening, and afternoon shifts

  • Take initiative to identify and complete projects and side tasks during shifts

  • Be proficient in using Google Drive and able to learn new platforms as required.

  • Be comfortable with retail sales, customer interactions and recommending products based on customer needs.

 

  • Prior Rock Gym Pro Experience preferred, but not required

  • Proficiency in bouldering, top-rope, and lead climbing preferred, but not required

  • Prior experience in the outdoor industry is a plus.

Additional Information:

  • Compensation: $15.50 – $19.50/hr based on experience

  • This position is based in our Littleton Location

  • Weekly hours from part-time (~20hrs/week) to full-time (~40hrs/week)
